Homework

We believe that a child’s education is a partnership between parents and the school. To encourage this, teachers set homework so that parents can share in their children’s learning. All children are asked to read at home with their family and each child has a Home School Link Diary where instructions and observations on progress can be shared. As the children get older homework will include learning Superstar Spellings and practising Rocket Recall mental maths skills.

In Class 2 and 3 children are given Learning Logs with cross curricular and mathematical investigation tasks to complete at home, this gives the children the opportunity to explore a learning challenge in a style which is most effective and enjoyable for them.
